Chichén Itzá Tealight Trio

Twice a year, a millennia-old phenomenon draws millions of people deep into Yucatán. At the equinox, they wait silently on the steps of the great pyramid of Chichen Itza for the perfect position of the afternoon sun. When the light hits the monumental stone architecture at a very precise angle, something magical happens: the precise interplay of light and shadow creates the silhouette of a giant snake that slowly seems to slither down the stone steps. A sacred spectacle with which the Maya proved that they could perfectly merge architecture, astronomy, and light.

This very principle – the interplay of geometry, flame, and shadow – brings this set to your home. The three holders are staggered in heights of 13, 10, and 7 centimeters. Placed side by side, they not only reflect the striking lines of the ancient step pyramid but also become a stage for light themselves.

The light travertine reinforces this connection. With its open-pored, sandy surface, it looks like a real, small fragment of a temple wall that has survived centuries. No texture is exactly alike; every natural indentation in the stone tells its own story.
